 Name: Derek Hough
Birthday/Age: May 17, 1985. I'm 25.
Relationship status: Single, kinda.
Sexual orientation: Straight.
Favorite movie/song right now: When it comes to movies and music, I can never pick a favorite. However, my sister's album is pretty incredible. I was so honored to be able to record a track on it with her. I like a lot of movies. If it's not cheesy or completely gory, I'll like it.
If you were an animal what would you be and why?: Probably a cheetah. May look cute and harmless, but is actually very fierce.
If you had to describe yourself in 3 words what would they be?: Romantic, crazy, happy.
What's your favorite holiday and why?: I'd say Christmas/New Years. Thats the only time of year where I get to see my entire family (which is HUGE) and spend time with those who I only get to really see once or twice a year. I'm a big family man, and they mean the world to me and I hate not being able to see everyone all the time. Winter in Utah is amazing, so it fits pretty well.
Who is your hero and why?: I have many heroes in my life.] and they all taught me many, many lessons that without them, I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am today. I would list them here, but this post would go on forever.
Morning or night person?: Night. No doubt about it. I can stay up all night, but I can never wake up in the mornings.
Favorite tv show: It switches back and forth a lot, but I'm really into CSI and Criminal Intent right now.

Best advice you've ever received: Whenever I'm down, I always have found that my sister, Julianne, gives the best of the best advice. She always taught me to think positively about every situation I face and I hear her tell me that often whenever I am in doubt. It helps so much. Also, she reminds me to keep my shirt on a lot. That's good advice most of the time.
What's one thing you want people to know about you?: I'm a hopeless romantic, so if I ever took a girl out, I'd try to look my absolute best and try to be as charming as possible. I want the girl to like me. If I sense chemistry, I'd kiss on the first date.
